FDA approves generic Trimipramine Maleate capsules

Actavis U.S., the United States manufacturing and marketing division of the international generic pharmaceutical company Actavis Group, announced that it has received approval from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration to market Trimipramine Maleate Capsules. Distribution of the product will commence immediately.

Trimipramine Maleate Capsules, the generic equivalent of Odyssey Pharmaceutical's Surmontil® Capsules, will be available in 25mg, 50mg and 100mg strengths. Trimipramine Maleate is indicated for depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, and alcohol and opioid withdrawal.
